NISECO CIRCUIT 2022
COURSE DIFFICULTY
A flat course with little undulation, utilizing the vast land of Hokkaido.
The Hokkaido-Niseko area where the circuit is located is widely known both in Japan
and abroad as one of the world's premier snow resorts,
but it is also a familiar place for Cyber Formula fans for being the host of the final race
of the World Grand Prix and the All Japan Grand Prix.
BARCELONA CIRCUIT 2022
COURSE DIFFICULTY
This circuit was changed from the Blue Circuit in offshore Barcelona
to a scenic urban course based on the historic Formula One motor race,
the Monaco Grand Prix. Being an urban area,
this route features many sharp corners and right angles, with few straightaways.
This is a highly technical course where the ability to navigate the twists and turns will determine victory.
BERLIN CIRCUIT 2022
COURSE DIFFICULTY
Part of the course is domed, reminiscent of the former "High Tech Dome."
However, this limits visibility, which will call for advanced driving techniques.
Also, since the Inter-City Express (ICE, the German high-speed rail) passes over the course,
you may even see the vehicles running abreast of the train.
SYDNEY CIRCUIT 2022
COURSE DIFFICULTY
This is a Sydney circuit consisting of a high-speed sector in the first half
and a technical sector in the second.
Your final lap time will be determined by how quickly you can accelerate
in the high-speed area following the chicane at the start of the race,
and how quickly you can round the multiple tight corners in the latter half without losing speed.
MONTREAL CIRCUIT 2022
COURSE DIFFICULTY
A circuit built adjacent to a forest park on the outskirts of Montreal, Canada.
It is also a big tourist destination where the balloon festival is held in the summer.
The course shape is clearly divided into two areas: two long straights,
and a mid/low-speed section consisting of several turns.
This means proper cornering after engaging a boost is key to victory.
PARANA CIRCUIT 2022
COURSE DIFFICULTY
This special circuit is built along the banks of the Paraná River in
Argentina in South America. As a stop & go course, there is some leeway
here and there, but the route is generally narrow, and there are limited
runoff areas. The riverside area, with its eye-popping tankers in the
harbor, has roads almost as narrow as urban ones, requiring fine
handling when overtaking other drivers.
NEW TOKYO GIO CIRCUIT 2022
COURSE DIFFICULTY
This large circuit features a three-tier grandstand owned by GIO,
which partnered with SUGO to offer Cyber Formula racing in 2022.
The final long straightaway has a straight end that connects into a right angle turn on the last corner,
meaning proper boost acceleration and braking will separate the victor from the rest.
NISEKO CIRCUIT 2023
COURSE DIFFICULTY
This is the Niseko circuit configured to 2023 event standards.
The course has minimal undulation and does not exhibit major changes throughout,
but the final corner has been reconfigured into a complex corner with a wide wraparound,
meaning smoothly making your way through the corner
and approaching the home straight offers strategic possibilities.
BARCELONA CIRCUIT 2023
COURSE DIFFICULTY
Like last year, this urban course has few overtake possibilities due to the tight roads.
It features a slightly slalom-shaped straight following the final corner,
meaning overdoing boosts can invite danger,
but a key decider of victory is using a full boost to clear through the straight.
BERLIN CIRCUIT 2023
COURSE DIFFICULTY
Since the course is now oriented in the opposite direction,
you will not see cars running parallel with the Inter-City Express (ICE, the German high-speed rail).
The first corner now has a sharper radius than last year,
requiring intense braking and handling following a boost in the home straight.
SYDNEY CIRCUIT 2023
COURSE DIFFICULTY
Sydney circuit is of the 2023 convention meeting specification. The big difference from the previous year is that the middle and low speed technical section is placed at the beginning of the course. Also, since the end of the short home straight is changed to a right angle corner, it is required to switch quickly between acceleration and deceleration from the last corner to the straight end.
MONTREAL CIRCUIT 2023
COURSE DIFFICULTY
The main difference over the previous year is that a mid/low-speed technical section now appears
at the beginning of the course. Furthermore, it was challenging enough that the finish line straight was short,
but now it has been reshaped into a right angle turn, so you must rapidly speed up
and then decelerate as you take the final corner and enter the straight end.
PARANA CIRCUIT 2023
COURSE DIFFICULTY
A special circuit on the Paraná River for the 2023 games. The riverside
area is a tricky and technical route that makes up the first half of the
course, so this layout will demand your total attention immediately out
of the gate. By contrast, the latter half is a long span where you can
go full throttle, so you'll need good mastery of boost skills.
NEW TOKYO GIO CIRCUIT 2023
COURSE DIFFICULTY
New Tokyo GIO circuit is of the 2023 convention meeting specification. A distinctive 3-layer ground stand is alive. The long straight of the boost acceleration point changes more than the previous year and the straight end is in the tunnel, so it requires cautious and bold cornering for the invisible blind corner.
